Our halal journey is also a journey of cultural fusion—blending Yangfu Jin’s traditional Chinese seasoning expertise with Indonesia’s rich culinary heritage, all while upholding the strictest halal standards. Indonesia’s seasoning market is a $9.21 billion empire, diverse and vibrant, with flavors ranging from sweet soy sauce (kecap manis) to spicy sambal. We knew that to succeed here, we needed to create products that felt familiar to Indonesian palates, yet retained the quality and authenticity that defines Yangfu Jin.
We assembled a team of local Indonesian food experts and halal advisors to help us adapt our products. For example, our iconic chicken essence, a staple in Chinese cuisine, was reformulated to complement Indonesian dishes like soto ayam and nasi goreng—adding a subtle umami that enhances the bold flavors of local spices, while remaining 100% halal. We also developed new products, like our halal-certified satay seasoning, crafted to capture the authentic taste of Indonesia’s beloved street food, using only halal ingredients and traditional spices.
But fusion does not mean compromise. Every ingredient we use is carefully selected and verified as halal, from the chicken used in our chicken essence to the herbs and spices in our sauces. We work closely with local Indonesian suppliers to source fresh, halal-certified raw materials, supporting local communities while ensuring the quality of our products. This blend of Chinese craftsmanship and Indonesian flavor is what makes our halal journey unique—we are not just bringing a foreign brand to Indonesia; we are becoming part of Indonesia’s culinary story, one halal seasoning at a time.
